Còn vài tuần nữa, danh sách đề cử chính thức của Oscar 2019 mới được công bố nhưng Viện Hàn lâm Khoa học và Nghệ thuật Điện ảnh Hoa Kỳ đã vừa tiết lộ danh sách ngắn các đề cử tại một số hạng mục. Trong đó, không ngoài dự đoán, ca khúc Shallow của phim A Star Is Born đã có mặt trong đề cử của hạng mục Ca khúc trong phim hay nhất.
Trước khi Oscar công bố danh sách ngắn này, A Star Is Born đã nhận được 5 đề cử tại giải thưởng Quả cầu vàng 2019 dành cho Phim xuất sắc, Nam/Nữ diễn viên xuất sắc (cho Lady Gaga và Bradley Cooper), Đạo diễn xuất sắc (Bradley Cooper) và Bài hát trong phim hay nhất (cho ca khúc Shallow).
